We recently did a bit of digging on how unsigned artists are using their budget to sponsor Instagram posts — and the results might surprise you. 👀

🎯 Here’s what we looked at:

  • 10 posts from different genres

  • All artists had under 1,000 followers

  • Average likes per post: 10

  • Average comments: 3

  • All posts were sponsored on a Monday

đź’¸ Estimated Average Cost to Sponsor One Post:
Between $7–$15 per day (we averaged ~$11)

👉 Most of these artists sponsored their posts for 3–5 days, meaning each one likely spent $33–$55 total.

📍 How Sponsored Posts Work:

  • The artist chooses the budget, location, age group, and genre interests.

  • Then Instagram’s algorithm decides who sees the post and how often.

  • After that, it’s basically a lottery — you hope the right people engage. 🎰
