Sonic Scout Radio

Welcome to Sonic Scout Radio ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our website www.sonicscoutradio.com, submitting music, applying to become a presenter, or engaging with our content, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Use of the Website

You agree to:

• Use this site for lawful purposes only.

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration or communication.

• Not interfere with or disrupt site functionality, security, or accessibility.

2. Artist Submissions

When submitting a track to Sonic Scout Radio:

• You confirm that you own or have rights to the content, including publishing and performance rights.

• You agree to pay a non-refundable submission fee per track.

• Paid Submission means airplay.

• If selected by a presenter, your track may be played multiple times, including on affiliate stations

• You retain full ownership of your music and are responsible for registering with performance rights organizations (e.g., BMI, ASCAP, SESAC) to receive royalties.

3. Presenter Participation

As a Sonic Scout Presenter:

• You are considered an independent contributor, not an employee.

• You will receive a percentage (currently 45%) of artist submission revenue for tracks aired on your show.

• You will also retain 75% of advertising revenue you personally bring in, pending station approval of the ad content.

• You are responsible for producing, recording, and submitting your show content on time and in MP3 format.

• Sonic Scout reserves the right to schedule, reschedule, or decline airing a show if it does not meet broadcast standards.

4. Payments

• Payments to presenters are issued immediately using Stripe Connect

• Artists agree to remit full payment at the time of submission via our website’s secure payment gateway.

• Payment data is securely processed via third-party providers (e.g., PayPal, Stripe).

5. Licensing & Royalties

Sonic Scout Radio operates under a streaming license that covers performance rights for public airplay via BMI, ASCAP, SESAC, and SoundExchange.
However, royalties are paid directly to the rights holders via these organizations — it is the artist’s responsibility to ensure their music is registered correctly.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the site, including logos, graphics, branding, audio files (excluding artist-submitted content), and written material, is owned by Sonic Scout Radio and may not be used or reproduced without permission.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit any unlawful, defamatory, or offensive content.

• Upload malware or attempt to breach security.

• Use our platform to harass or exploit others.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or removal from Sonic Scout Radio platforms.

8. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services including but not limited to:

• Brevo for email communications

• Radio Cult for streaming infrastructure

• Google Analytics & Ads for site tracking and marketing

• Streaming Radio Platforms for extended broadcast reach

These platforms operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any user, artist, or presenter who breaches these terms or engages in activity that may harm our reputation or operations.

10. Limitation of Liability

Sonic Scout Radio is not liable for:

• Loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from the use of this site

• Content or conduct of presenters or third-party playlists

• Royalties not collected due to artist registration failure

All services are provided “as is” and without warranties unless explicitly stated.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. All updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
