What is Sonic Scout Radio?
Sonic Scout Radio (SSR) is a 24/7 global radio platform dedicated exclusively to unsigned artists. We give talented musicians the exposure they deserve by broadcasting their music to a worldwide audience — curated by real human presenters, not algorithms.

Who are the presenters?

Our presenters are passionate music curators from around the world — from the U.S. to the U.K. and beyond — who host weekly shows across every genre imaginable. They interview artists, share stories, and introduce listeners to the next wave of unsigned talent.

What makes Sonic Scout different from streaming services?

Unlike automated playlists, our presenters personally discover, listen to, and curate artists’ music. They contextualize your song, your story, and your journey. On streaming platforms, your track can get lost in a playlist of 600 others — at Sonic Scout, you are the feature.

🎤 FOR ARTISTS

Who can submit music?
Any unsigned artist who owns the rights to their original music. We do not accept submissions from artists signed to indie or major labels, or AI-generated songs.

How do I submit my track?
You can submit directly through our Sonic Scout Radio App (available for iPhone & Android

Simply:

Download the app.
Create your artist profile.
Upload your song, artwork, and short bio.
Select your preferred presenter or a Presenter you have been in communication with from the drop-down list (or choose “Direct to Sonic”).
Pay the $10 submission fee to guarantee airplay.

Can I still pay using PayPal?

Yes! If you prefer PayPal, head to our Artist Submission Page. Follow the steps there and send your bio and track details directly to your chosen presenter.

Do I get guaranteed airplay once I pay?
Yes — once you’ve paid and submitted your track, it’s guaranteed airplay with the presenter you selected (subject to content approval and compliance).

What happens after I submit?
Your presenter will review your submission, add it to their next available show, and will contact you for a short feature or interview. Once aired, you’ll receive confirmation and can share the broadcast link on your socials!

How often can I submit?
As often as you like! Many artists submit multiple tracks to different presenters to reach broader audiences.

Do I retain ownership of my music?
Absolutely. You always own your music. We simply feature and promote it under fair play and digital rights compliance.

Do you pay royalties?
Yes. Sonic Scout submits quarterly airplay logs to major PROs (Performing Rights Organizations) such as BMI, ASCAP, and PRS for Music.

Can I submit AI-generated songs?
No. We do not accept AI-generated or AI-assisted compositions. All submissions must be original human-created works.

Can I interact with presenters or artists?
Yes — you can message presenters via the app in the chat room or their social media links, and leave reviews or feedback on shows via the chat

Will I be able to download tracks?
Soon! We’re adding a download feature where listeners can purchase artist tracks for $0.50 each — supporting artists directly.

💬 PODCASTS & SHOWS

What are “The Sonic Sessions”?
The Sonic Sessions is our official podcast series — hosted by Sonic presenters and available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all major streaming platforms. Topics range from AI in music and unsigned artist struggles to behind-the-scenes stories and genre deep-dives.

Can presenters create their own podcasts?
Yes! Presenters can record and submit podcast episodes. If you’d like to sponsor a podcast or be featured, contact: info@sonicscoutradio.com

💸 PAYMENTS & REVENUE

How does payment work for artists?
Artists pay a $10 submission fee through the app (via Apple Pay, Google Pay, or credit/debit card). If you use PayPal, use the submission page on the website.

Where does my payment go?
45% goes directly to the presenter who curates and airs your song.
55% goes to Sonic Scout to cover licensing, hosting, and streaming costs.

Can presenters earn more?
Yes! Presenters can:

Accept sponsorships for their shows.
Set up donation pages (GoFundMe, Patreon, Ko-Fi).
Sell their own merchandise through Sonic’s store (and keep 100% of profits).

Why charge artists at all?
Unlike streaming platforms that bury new artists, your submission fee guarantees airtime, curation, and exposure. Think of it as paying for a global showcase — not just a spin in a playlist.

⚙️ TECHNICAL & TROUBLESHOOTING

The app crashed or froze — what do I do?
Try deleting the app, rebooting your phone, and reinstalling it. Your login credentials will still work.

I can’t upload my track!
Make sure your file is MP3, WAV, or M4A format, and under 15MB. If you get an upload loop, delete the app, reinstall, and try again — we’re also fixing this issue in the next update.
