Tony's Featured Artists

Tenor Blue

Tenor was raised in the heart of the storied Haight-Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. During the late 60’s the Haight was the home of iconic artists like the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, Sly and The Family Stone and Santana,

The residual energy from that era still lingered during Tenor Blue’s upbringing in the neighborhood. And while Tenor grew up embracing the Soul music he was hearing on the radio and in the streets, at the age of 16 he discovered and fell in love with Reggae.

Tenor moved to Los Angeles to attend college at UCLA and began experimenting with songwriting. He was soon performing in clubs and connecting with producers in LA as he began to develop his own sound: a hybrid of reggae mixed with Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop and Jazz inspired by his wide ranging musical tastes. It was at this time that Tenor landed a record deal with a subsidiary of RCA Records and embarked on an album project, one that in the end was never released.

Tenor moved to South Florida in the early 2000’s, and quickly connected with the top reggae musicians and producers in the region. He would continue to write and record and was blessed to share the stage with some of the greatest legends in reggae including Barrington Levy, John Holt, Gregory Isaacs, Frankie Paul and Cocoa Tea. He released a series of recordings including a collab in 2018 with the late Grammy-Award winning Peetah Morgan of Morgan Heritage entitled “Push Forward”.

In 2021, Tenor moved to Atlanta, GA where he continues creating the fusion of vintage Soul, Reggae and Pop that has always been his trademark. He is currently releasing and promoting his new original music on a regular basis and rehearsing with his band to begin a strong push promoting his music regionally with a goal to hit bigger stages in 2026.

With songs that weave together global musical genres and both classic and contemporary sounds, Tenor’s music touches on timeless human themes of love, loss, hope, faith, self-belief and determination, ambition, culture, compassion, acceptance and intense self-reflection. The music of Tenor Blue is a welcoming place for everyone with an open mind and a heart of flesh and blood to come and find rest.

King Malakiyah

Recording artist King Malakiyah was born Garfield O’Neil Blake in the small district of Enfield in East St. Mary, Jamaica. He entered the world on October 16, 1977 as the tenth child of Dorothy and Malachi Blake, the two people who have been most instrumental – no pun intended – in his musical pursuits.

Being a member of a large family (8 brothers and 4 sisters) music became his escape early on. He fell in love with the art-form at the tender age of ten. That said, his career as an artist really began when he entered the popular local T.V talent show Digicel Rising Stars. Although his time on the program was short-lived it gave him the right amount of publicity needed to truly embark on his musical career.

Inspired by Dennis Brown, Niney the Observer, Luciano, Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, and Marcia Griffith, Malakiyah has matured into a captivating vocalist who specializes in lovers- rock and roots reggae music. He is a master of melody, and is often praised for his songwriting and lyrical prowess. His songs are usually centered on social issues and matters surrounding intimate relationships, this includes his own.

King Malakiyah’s dream is to create and perform music on the highest level. One of his burning desires is to use his musical abilities to positively impact the world. He believes that this can be achieved by spreading uplifting messages, through his songs, giving hope to nations consumed with negativity.

J. Written

J. Written prepared for this moment his entire life. From a youth, he was consumed with the art of writing. No matter the subject, he was compelled to put it on paper. Hence the name Written.

Born on January 18, 1994, J Written hails from the Payne Land neighborhood of Kingston, Jamaica. He entered this world as Jason Rasheed Wright. Due to financial challenges, his family moved to various locations within the Kingston area. His parents, with the desire to keep him safe, encouraged him to stay at home and focus on his love of writing. He wrote daily journals and created his own newspaper articles written on the walls of their home. This creative outlet gave way to writing poems, speeches and essays even as a student in high school.

At age 16, Written started a popular dance troupe known as the ACEZ dancers. At age 18, he was drawn to music and began creating beats at a studio in Trench Town. He became part of the Trench Town community and continues his connection with the community. Written’s drive to write songs became a new medium for self expression. This led to being recorded for various producers, including the song “Fear To Understand” with Alborosie. Other songs and music videos followed.

J. Written was soon brought to the attention of record producer, Doctor Dread. “When I first saw a video with J. Written and began listening to more of his songs, I knew this was a unique artist with a special vibe and talent for writing interesting songs.” Doctor Dread made the decision to go to Jamaica and from there produced the first album “Kaleidoscope” released in late 2024.

My mission is to be active and positive, not to conform to the norm. I want people to feel uncomfortable with issues impacting our community and society at large and to give thought to what is happening in the world around us”. J. Written has revealed his intentions through his music. The song “Work to Do” and “Blood Sweat and Tears” are strong examples of his desire for individual reasoning leading to positive action.

Of special note, J. Written played the role of Junior Braithewaite in the Bob Marley movie “One Love.” Junior Braithwaite was a member of the early Wailers and included in the scene when the young Wailers first came to audition for Coxsone Dodd of Studio One.

The future is bright for J. Written. He is creating music and potent lyrics as a constant in his life and now the world will be able to share in his vision of creative expression
