Doc Z’s Melodies

Doc Z is a piano and vocal instructor. She is a double major in piano and voice from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Second, she also holds degrees in music business and entertainment from the University of Miami in Coral, Gables, Florida. Doc Z likes to remain under the radar when serving the public. Doc Z likes to remain under the radar when serving the public. She does not advertise what she does but is mostly recommended for things. She is an Army Veteran and former Army Band keyboardist and vocalist. She has received many awards from Sgt Majors, Officers and Generals for her musical talent. She has also performed before former President Bill Clinton. Doc was an educator for Birmingham Southern College teaching piano and voice. Many of her students have gone to do great things in music such as work for BMI and Ascap, Disney, become songwriters, play for artists and background sing for artists to name a few.

Doc Z’s non collegiate students have gone to prestigious universities majoring in music such as, but not limited to the Julliard School of Music, Berklee, the University of Miami, Belmont, and Brigham Young. Also, they have won numerous National and International awards such as the 2024 Young Arts Winner with Distinction, and Presidential Scholar semi-finalist. This year alone her students have won National and International awards. Also, she has a student at who will be performing next year at Carnegie Hall. Furthermore, some of her students have been contestants and winners in the pageant world such as Ms. Teen Alabama. Doc Z is a professional musician, songwriter, A&R rep, and producer. She has worked with and have been mentored by producers in the music industry who work for labels such as So So Def and Sony.
